The Sustainability in Tires 2024 Conference, an annual industry event organized by Smithers, a renowned global testing and consulting institution, and sponsored by Xingda Group, was successfully held in Shanghai from October 14 to 16. Executive Vice President Xu Fangliu and Vice President Hang Youming from Xingda Group led a team to attend the event. They gathered together with experts, scholars and enterprise representatives from the automotive and tire industries and the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain, jointly discussing the global demand situation and development prospect of the Off-the-Road (OTR) tire industry. They also exchanged views on a series of hot topics such as global market forecasts for the tire industry, opportunities and challenges faced by sustainable development and circular economy, industrial technology upgrades, and material innovation. The atmosphere at the event was lively, and participants left with much to ponder.

On the first day of the event, Executive Vice President Xu Fangliu from Xingda Group delivered a speech titled “Embracing a Green World with a Blue Vision”. He expressed that Xingda Group has always adhered to “sustainability” as the core of its development, strengthening green innovations in corporate production and product technology to promote the sustainable and high-quality development of the tire industry. At the same time, Xingda Group is willing to work with upstream and downstream partners in the industrial chain to further strengthen cooperation and exchanges, jointly building a green, low-carbon and efficient industrial ecosystem, and contributing greater efforts to the sustainable development of the tire industry and even the automotive industry.

Vice President Ye Wei from Xingda Group was invited to host the first half of the conference, at the end of which he shared the sustainable development goals and progress of Xingda Group. He systematically expounded the guiding concepts, goals and key actions of the Group's sustainable development to the experts and industry professionals present. Focusing on topics such as green products and circular economy, he introduced the Group's solutions and progress in the fields such as green R&D, energy conservation and emission reduction.

Due to the high-degree synergy between Xingda Group's sustainable development strategy and low-carbon business philosophy and the original intention of Smithers on organizing the Sustainability in Tires Conference, Xingda set up a dedicated booth at the venue to showcase its sustainable development achievements and green and low-carbon products to all participants.

During the event, participants jointly envisioned the prospects of the global tire market, shared insights of various enterprises and research institutions on sustainable development, analyzed the trends in tire development, testing and future mobility, and discussed solutions to the impact of policies and regulations on the industry as well as green and sustainable materials and other topics.

In addition, at the “Off-the-Road Tire Seminar” held on October 14, leading elites, outstanding scholars and environmental protection pioneers from the global tire industry gathered to focus on the current situation and future of the OTR tire industry, exchange views on the challenges and solutions of the OTR tire industry, and look forward to the technological changes and sustainable development of the OTR tire industry.
